Sprint Vector was first revealed during the Game Developers Conference 2017, LA-based virtual reality (VR) developer Survios took a different approach to its next title after the success of first-person shooter (FPS) Raw Data. Sprint Vector is an obstacle course style videogame where you have to race to the end by using a system which the studio calls Fluid Locomotion, essentially swinging your arms back and forth just like you would when running.

This game is available at Steam, Oculus and Playstation VR. You can play single, private, multiplayer or in challenge mode and goes well with HTC Vive headset.

The American Dream by Samurai Punk as described by the studio as a: “Look down the barrel of a future where all your everyday needs are solved with guns,” The American Dream is a satirical trip through a 1950’s world’s fair where you learn to live your life with guns. Players travel through a vast complex constructed by a group of respected gun manufacturers aiming to show the world the virtues of guns for the common man.

Vacation Simulator is developed by Owlchemy Labs is soon coming for your enjoyment. Vacation Simulator was announced during The Game Awards 2017 pre-show. Few details were revealed about the videogame other than a teasing trailer showcasing more fun and frolics, just this time you’re on holiday. As per the Owlchemy way, First you JOB, then you VACATION. Experience RECREATION, optimal RELAXATION, and classic human past times like SUNBURN. Vacation Island offers all this and more so that you can discover the lost art of TIME OFF.Vacation Simulator has been slated for release at some point in 2018 and will be available with Oculus, Vive and Playstation VR.

4. Anamorphine

Anamorphine  developed by Artifact 5 focuses on pure environmental storytelling, with no dialogue, text, UI or action buttons to speak of. Instead, you move through the story purely through movement and sight, learning about Tyler who struggles with guilt and post-traumatic denial after his wife Elena falls victim to an accident leaving her unable to play the cello.

Artifact 5 is an independent studio based in Montreal. Artifact 5 creates experiential and emotionally driven games by telling stories through mechanics. The game is available at Steam, and soon will be available with Vive and Playstation.

5. Apex Construct

Apex Construct is developed by Fast Travel Games’ where a first-person shooter (FPS) set in a futuristic sci-fi world of robots. With synthetic creatures on the prowl its up to you to save the human race using your trusty bow and arrow. The studio will be bringing Apex Construct to PlayStation VR first, followed by PC releases including HTC Vive, although dates have yet to be confirmed.

6. Bebylon: Battle Royale

Bebylon is developed by Kite & Lightning’s where gameplay revolves around a multiplayer combat arena where you control babies who fight it out for supremacy. There’s more to the experience than just fighting however, with the studio an entire virtual world.

It’s been a long time coming but Bebylon: Battle Royale should be appearing early 2018 and will be available with Vive, Oculus and Steam

In Death developed by Sólfar Studios is the new VR game where a Roguelite Shooter set in the godless afterlife.  Battle through procedurally generated levels and dungeons in intense ranged combat coupled with a unique locomotion system perfectly attuned to your fighting style.

In Death´s dream kingdom, Heaven is abandoned. Amongst its crumbling ruins, angelic creatures and demons alike have run amok. Only a courageous hero that dares to venture deep into the Afterlife will be able to restore Harmony.

A VR shooter with roguelike elements, In Death´s surreal medieval setting is presented in a procedurally generated world with monsters, mysteries and loot. Driven by an achievement-based progression system that advances between sessions, each run is unique, with unpredictable outcomes. Currently In Death only has a release window of 2018.

8. Albino Lullaby Episode 2

Ape Law announced a slight re-brand of its horror videogame Albino Lullaby in 2017 calling it Alice’s Lullaby  instead. Whilst keeping the same weird and wonderful design as before, the second episode will see improvements such as player driven pacing  – so no cut scenes, more objects to interact with, five new characters, and ‘Buck’s Clicker’ which bends time and space.  This game will be available at Oculus, Steam and Vive.

Space Junkies game developed by Ubisoft is a low-gravity multiplayer VR shooter game. This is described as a fast-paced arena shooter that lets players put on jet packs to fly around destructible environments so the arena can change and react to player actions. This game is available at Oculus, Steam and Vive.

10. Zone of the Enders: The 2nd Runner

Konami’s high-definition remake of action mecha game Zone of the Enders: The Second Runner is coming to PlayStation 4, PlayStation VR and Windows PC via Steam in September 2018. This new version of 2nd Runner appears to be a full-fledged remake of the game and not a simple HD upgrade. In a press release, Konami noted that “All visual and aural elements have been remastered for native 4K resolution” and that “the new game retains the unique and beautiful visuals of the original title, but boasts textures in updated 4K while using surround sound techniques to offer layered and immersive audio effects.”
